The Ideal Combination Over 10 years of experience form the basis of the new electric utility solution, whose band width provides the appropriate performance from the generator to the end user over all voltage levels. Whereas the low-voltage range requires smaller units with high reusability, modular design and powerful copying functions, higher voltage levels in addition need more individual combinations and distinct cable planning.
With Engineering Base Instrumentation, AUCOTEC offers the right solution for the I&E technology even in primary power generation, and that on one and the same universal platform. Thus, be it the P&I diagram of the process engin-eering plants in the power station or the power distribution facility – in any case Engineering Base is the ideal projecting platform with the optimum benefit both for the plant operator and the plant manufacturer. The software solutions team up with our long-standing know-how about customer-specific adaptations and user support.
Arbitrary Structures – Lasting Data Consistency For plant manufacturers, projecting is the main focus. For Engineering Base it does not make any difference whether this planning is represented in the hierarchic tree structure or the graphic source materials. A consistent data model that automatically keeps all relevant data up to date is guaranteed at all times – in all views. Devices, components or even complete partial structures can thus be planned and put together very easily even if there is as yet no graphic representation. Arbitrarily nested device structures, customary in power distribution, can be projected easily, and the same holds for large devices such as circuit breakers.
Automatically Economical The automatic processes of Engineering Base promise particular economy. Entire plants or plant sections including all associated devices and diagrams can be put together simply by copying from a template. Cross-references for devices and potentials are automatically updated.
Very Easy Maintenance For plant operators, servicing and maintenance of a plant are important factors for cost-effectiveness. For this purpose it is essential that the configuration be correctly represented at all times. Therefore the documentation of the actual wiring is an important requirement, which is easily met by Engineering Base.
All Standards The branch solution offered by Engineering Base can be used worldwide. All current standards (IEC, ANSI, KKS, DIN) are taken into account. Especially in German-language countries and regions influenced by them, EB offers support via special documents such as resource schedules, ring circuit diagrams and special representa-tions of the terminal diagram. For other regions such as e.g. North America we provide special symbol libraries and the wiring diagrams typical of these regions as wiring documentation. Engineering Base Power is open to all necessary adaptations to special peculiarities of standards, from any sheet formats to stored dictionaries covering all imaginable languages. Due to the Unicode capability all common fonts can be represented both in the user interface and the drawings.
Safe Exchange with Subcontractors Numerous integrated quality controls ensure that the documentation is self-consistent. This in particular facili-tates also the exchange of source materials between the plant operators and their external suppliers.
